Mahesh says “I was initially skeptical because Anushka is such a big star and my film offers nothing like the dramatic scenes that elevate the characters she usually plays on screen. But Anushka was really intrigued by the story and open to it. Once we got on set, I couldn’t imagine anyone else playing the role. Her performance will be understated; something that’s unexpected. The character is unlike anything Anushka has played before. Anvitha is fiercely independent, prefers to remain single, and breaks away from traditional norms.”

About Naveen Polishetty, Mahesh shared “The role was a perfect fit for him, but we still had to consider how he and Anushka would look together. However, from the first frame, we knew it was pure magic.” The story is all about a youngster falling in love with a woman elder than him. Mahesh adds “Yes, Anushka and Naveen play their age in the film, but that’s not what the story is about,” “An age gap is no longer a big deal for this generation, and we wanted to showcase a unique and refreshing take on relationships. Trust me, it’s not your average rom-com,”
