Ms Raju was the synonym for Sankranthi Raju during early 2000's as most of his films were released during Sankranthi season and turned out to become superhits. Ms Raju has earned confidence of audiences and trade that films coming out of his banner would be of minimum guarantee both in terma of providing entertainment and earning collections at the boxoffice. Ms Raju too involved in script and cast selection of his films along with effectively spending money.

M.S. Raju was interested in films right from his childhood. After completing his education, he started his career in films with the help of a friend. He made a film titled Manavadostunnadu (1987) with Arjun and Sobhana in the lead roles. Then, he established a new production company called 'Sumanth Art Productions' named after his son. The first film made on the banner was Sathruvu (1991) starring Venkatesh, Vijayashanti, and Kota Srinivasa Rao and directed by Kodi Ramakrishna. M. S. Raju himself provided the basic story idea of the film and Satyamurthy, father of Devi Sri Prasad developed the storyline. The film was also dubbed into Tamil. Sathruvu was commercially successful in both Telugu and Tamil.

Ms Raju's next film was Police Lock-up (1993) starring Vijayashanti in a dual role. Police Lock-up also became a big hit. The Tamil dubbed version of the film was also successful. His next film was Street Fighter starring Vijayashanti with B. Gopal as the director. Street Fighter was a box-office failure. After a brief hiatus, Ms Raju is back with 'Devi' starring Prema, Sijju and Vanitha in lead roles. The film which is heavily loaded with VFX turned out to be a blockbuster. With the expertise he earned with Devi, Ms Raju made another highly VFX based film with Venkatesh, 'Devi Putrudu'. Even though the film didn't turned out to be a box office success it is lauded for its execution and plot.

Ms Raju then made Manasantha Nuvve with Uday Kiran and Reema Sen. This love story turned out to be a silver Jubilee hit followed by another successful film Nee Sneham with Uday Kiran. Ms Raju continued his success streak with Superstar Mahesh's biggest hit 'Okkadu', Prabhas's Blockbuster hit 'Varsham', Siddharth, Trisha's remarkable hit 'Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana'. Ms Raju scored hat-trick blockbusters with these three films. He then made Pournami with Prabhas, Trisha and Charmme which won praises for its musical period theme. Then he produced Aata, Vaana and Maska. 

With Vaana he turned into Director and also introduced his son Sumanth Ashwin with Tuneega Tuneega in his direction. Ms Raju has returned to making films in 2020 and made Dirty Hari, 7 Days, 6 Nights and Malli Pelli. CineJosh wishing the prolific producer Ms Raju a very Happy Birthday and a great year ahead.
