Mamitha Baiju As Female Lead In VD 12

Ever since 'Premalu' released in Telugu, there were news that, Tollywood makers are considering its female lead Mamitha Baiju who mesmerised the audience with her charm and act in upcoming Tollywood films. VD 12 is one among them. This highly anticipated intense action thriller headlined by Vijay Deverakonda to be helmed by talented Gowtham Tinnanuri. 

The project was announced last year but, was delayed to kickstart due to Vijay's other commitments. Meanwhile director Gowtham has directed a film in the same Sithara banner titled 'Magic' with newcomers. The film which is based on music will announce its release date very soon. Now, as Vijay has freed from his early commitments, #VD12 is about to kickstart it's production.

Initially it was Sree Leela who was announced as leading lady. Later, citing dates issues she walked away from the project. Then there were several names popped up as female lead but reportedly makers locked 'Premalu' fame Mamitha Baiju opposite Vijay Deverakonda.

After romancing seasoned actresses like Samantha in 'Kushi' and Mrunal Thakur in 'Family Star', Vijay Devarakonda would be working with relatively newcomer in his next. VD 12 is backed by Naga Vamsi and Sai Sowjanya under Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas banners. Music to be composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
