90s Cult Film Khal Nayak To Get A Sequel

In 1990's where big Hindi films are enjoying almost equal patronage as Telugu films in Telugu states, 'Khalnaayak' was a huge sensation. Sunjay Dutt Playing the antagonist where Madhuri Dixit, then a dream girl for many tries to nab him as an undercover cop was a massive hit back then. Now, the original filmmaker Subhash Ghai is planning and leaving no stone unturned for the sequel of the 1993 iconic film Khalnayak.

While not much is known about whether Sanjay Dutt will be brought back in the sequel of the 1993 film, Ghai is looking forward to cast a young and dynamic actor for the role of Ballu Balaram. In fact, popular South actors are also on his list. Subhas Ghai has completed script for Khalnaayak 2. 

If reports are to be believed, four major actors are in the race to play the role of Ballu Balram. As per Bollywood reports, Ghai is looking to cast some young actors for the role of Ballu Balaram including Ranveer Singh, Ranbir Kapoor, Allu Arjun, and Yash.

‘Khalnayak’ featured Madhuri Dixit, Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff and Anupam Kher. The cast had come together to celebrate the film’s 30th anniversary last year. The film was plagued by controversies upon its release. The song from the film, ‘Choli Ke Peechay Kya Hai’, was a massive hit and it was reprised in the 2024 film, ‘Crew'. We have to wait and see whether our South stars would agree to work with veteran Subas Ghai who is struggling to score a hit.
